Innova Art: another perspective on the bigger picture at Photo Plus Expo

Take flight with Innova Art at Photo Plus Expo (NY, Oct 22-24), where the leading digital media company presents an exhibition of specially commissioned aerial photo-art by Ken Scruggs and David Osborn. Shown for the very first time at Photo Plus Expo, the images present a stunning new perspective on our world. As the founder and owner of Midwest Aerial, Ohio, Ken Scruggs is one of the world’s leading exponents of aerial photography. With six aircraft, three state-of-the-art DMC II-140s and four Zeiss RMK TOP film cameras, Midwest Aerial leads the field in the airborne acquisition of high-quality digital imagery and photography for clients and business partners in both the private and public sectors. Scruggs first met the award-winning photographer David Osborn this summer when he attended one of Osborn’s Photoshop workshops. Scruggs wanted to learn new techniques for improving his personal work, and knew he could look to Osborn for expert advice. The British photographer’s 35-year career in photo-journalism and international corporate work, together with his early adoption of digital technology, have made him a highly sought-after tutor and workshop leader, specialising in black and white landscape photography and digital retouching techniques. In the event, the meeting produced a two-way exchange. “After discussing what Ken did for a living, I could see the fine art potential of the aerial photo images,” says David. “I offered my skills to demonstrate some of the Photoshop processes that could be used to enhance his images into something truly amazing.” “Aerial photo-art offers another perspective on the world we all share. Thanks to digital imaging technology, matched to the supreme quality of Innova Art’s fine art digital media, it reveals both the wonders of nature, and the scale [...]
