ISO9001:2015 Certification for Innova Art

April 2021 was an exciting month for Innova Art, signifying the end of certification processes for the ISO9001:2015 Standard. ISO9001:2015 is a standard for maintaining high quality levels and understanding for organisations looking to meet customer and stakeholder requirements in the most efficient way possible. The management team at Innova Art have been working for the last few months to document existing processes and submit these for independent verification. In April 2021, this work paid off and Innova Art became the proud recipient of a certificate declaring that their processes meet ISO9001:2015 standards. This certification is the culmination of a multifaceted improvement drive for Innova Art. Over the past 12 months the company has been working to improve both facilities and processes, all whilst manufacturing and shipping orders during a challenging global health crisis. Receiving the formal documents stating that Innova Art is ISO9001:2015 certified was an exciting time for the team. Nevelle Bower, CEO of Innova Art, is particularly pleased to have received the certification. “We have been dedicated to consistently meeting the requirements and expectations of our customers for many years. Achieving ISO9001:2015 certification ensures that our team are recognised for this and gives us a structure to ensure our standards never slip.” In addition to formalising the processes used to ensure customer satisfaction, Innova Art has redeveloped existing facilities to improve the working environment for their team. Their distribution hub in Hampshire, UK has had an overhaul to create space for additional machinery and storage. Not only improving the capacity of finished products available to customers worldwide, but enabling the production team to work more efficiently. However, changes in Hampshire are not yet complete, as storage capacity is set to increase by [...]

FESPA Global Print Expo and The Photography Show Postponed

Due to the continuing spread of COVID-19, the organisers of each show have decided to reschedule the events. The wellbeing of visitors, exhibitors and staff is at the heart of the decision to postpone by each organiser. The announcement from FESPA was made on March 4th 2020. FESPA CEO Neil Felton explained: “Until this week, our actions with regard to COVID-19 […] have been informed by guidance from the relevant international and national authorities, with the primary objective of safeguarding the health and wellbeing of exhibitors and visitors. However, in light of the recent spread of the virus in specific areas of mainland Europe, we have consulted with our stakeholders and have concluded that it is in the best interests of our community to defer the events to a later date.” Originally scheduled to take place at IFEMA Madrid, March 24-27, FESPA Global Print Expo 2020 would have been co located with two other shows: European Sign Expo 2020 and Sportswear Pro 2020. Currently there is no news on how long the show will be postponed for. FESPA will provide updated venue and event dates as soon as they are available. The Photography Show organisers, Future, made the decision to postpone on March 9th 2020. Co-located with The Video Show, The Photography Show 2020 would have taken place March 14-17 at Birmingham NEC. The two shows are now due to take place in September, with dates to be confirmed. Jonny Sullens, Head of Events at Future, explained: “We are incredibly disappointed that we've had to take this action so close to the event opening. However, it became clear that the recent acceleration in COVID-19 cases in the UK has led to heightened concerns for all [...]

Sharing the colours of our planet: Innova Art at FESPA 2020

The riotous colours of some of the earth’s wildest places will be the theme of the Innova Art stand (A6, Hall 7), at FESPA Global Print Expo, 24-27 March 2020. One of a few digital media specialists founded this century, and the winner of countless awards for its products, Innova Art is one of the world’s most inventive digital print substrate manufacturers. For FESPA 2020, Innova Art has teamed up with the acclaimed artist and tireless environmental activist John Dyer. Founder of Last Chance to Paint, the artistic programme he devised to excite young people about saving the environment.  John’s dazzling canvases, painted on the spot in the Borneo rainforest are alive with colour. Accompanied by behind the scenes photography, the Innova Art stand at FESPA 2020 tells the story of Last Chance To Paint chapter two: Person of the Forest. Innova Art’s award-winning print substrates and display media capture in impeccable detail all the exuberance and drama of John’s colour-saturated paintings, and the effect is truly uplifting.  Each chapter of Last Chance To Paint inspires young people to create their own artwork, to upload it to the Last Chance to Paint online gallery and to get involved with action against climate change. “Planet Earth is in trouble. Peoples, plants, animals and environments are being lost at an alarming rate,” John says. “Through art, children will make personal connections to the world so they choose to tread gently as they grow. We can help to change the world, one painting at a time.” Person of the Forest saw John and his team meet members of the Penan tribe. Learning about how their way of life has changed because of deforestation. Later in the trip John [...]

Last Chance To Paint: Back From Borneo

Exploring Climate Change Through Art With Last Chance To Paint In March this year eInnovation News had a conversation with artist John Dyer. At the time John was just about to embark on his most ambitious project to date: Last Chance To Paint. Since then John has lead two expeditions to explore the impact of climate change on the people, plants and animals of the rainforest in the Amazon and Borneo. Last Chance To Paint is inspired by a previous project called Spirit of the Rainforest. Here John painted with Amazon Indian Nixiwaka Yawanawa. As a fitting start to the latest project, chapter one of Last Chance To Paint is titled Spirit of the Rainforest 2. In this chapter John and the team visited Nixiwaka in the Amazon rainforest. Spending time with the Yawanawa tribe in the Acre region and learning how they live in harmony with the rainforest around them. In chapter two, Last Chance To Paint: Person of the Forest, John and the team trekked into the rainforest once again. This time in Borneo, spending time with the Penan tribe and then travelling south to the Orangutan Foundation. Here the team explored how palm oil plantations are impacting on the environment. The time with the Penan tribe highlighted just how quickly a culture can be changed by environmental influence, with some of the youngest tribe members never having experienced the true hunter-gatherer existence of their elders. At the Orangutan Foundation, the team were up close and personal with climate change when forest fires used to clear areas of rainforest for farming caused them to leave the location early. With more trips planned for the future, we caught up with John to hear how [...]
