Innova Art at Printing United Expo, October 19-21 2022, Las Vegas – because innovation never stops The Innova Art team is delighted to be back at Printing United, the show that brings the entire print industry together under one roof to discover what’s next. Because what’s next is Innova Art’s speciality. It’s a company where the innovation never stops. Innova Art, in conjunction with Mid States Graphics, will be on stand C6947 with partner Color Management Group, expert reseller and distributor, at Printing United Expo, Las Vegas, October 19-21 2022. Innova Art will be showing its world-class range of digital paper and canvas – matchless media for timeless artworks – alongside its award-winning image display products. But in 2022, the focus will be scintillating colour – delivered by Innova’s latest innovation: Supernova Chrome. Innova Supernova Chrome is a ground-breaking technological advance that looks set to transform dye sublimation printing, bringing the exceptional image quality of the process to an entirely different print space. Innova Art Director Wayne Connelly says: “Supernova Chrome is the first dye sub media that provides exceptional image quality on a flexible substrate. The material is scratchproof, chemically resistant and can be mounted to any rigid substrate. Unlike rigid materials, images can be transferred using a rotary or calendar press on a production basis.” Innova Supernova changes the core of traditional Cibachrome prints. Using everyday heat transfer technology, images can be encapsulated on dye sublimation-receptive PET film for large-format, hard-wearing exhibition displays. With Innova Supernova Transfer Paper, images can easily be produced on a matte finish, 190gsm alpha cellulose substrate, ready to sublimate onto receptive media. They are more robust than their eco solvent or aqueous equivalents, which means they can be [...]

Innova Art at The Photography Show 2022

Returning to the NEC for The Photography Show 2022 was great experience for the Innova Art team. It was a fantastic opportunity to meet face to face with photography enthusiasts and get an intimate understanding of the qualities users are seeking in their inkjet media. Despite the shortened timescale due to the state funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, visitors still turned out in their droves to benefit from special show offers and see the latest developments. Printmakers familiar with the range of inkjet surfaces offered by Innova Art returned to pick up their old favourites. They also took the opportunity to try out the latest product in the Photo Art range: Innova Resin Coated Photo Premium Matte 260gsm (IFA-178). For visitors new to the world of inkjet printmaking, a visit to the Innova Art stand at The Photography Show 2022 was an opportunity to experience the wide range of surfaces available. Sample prints on the stand gave an insight into how the choice of surface can affect the interpretation of a printed image. Trial packs of each of the Innova media ranges gave these visitors the opportunity to take home one of each paper and see how their own images look on every type of surface available from Innova Art. The team at online retailer Fine Art Foto sold a lot of paper during the three days with Innova Art at the NEC. Best sellers included the Photo Lustre Heavyweight 260gsm (OLM-059) from the ever popular Olmec™ range of inkjet photo papers. Also popular were the archival quality fine art photo papers Innova Smooth Cotton High White 100% Cotton 315gsm (IFA-014) and Innova Editions® Exhibition Cotton Gloss 335gsm (IFA-045). Interesting Visit to FESPA Berlin 2022 for the Innova Art Team

Touring the halls at FESPA 2022 was a great experience for the Innova Art team earlier this month. After ten consecutive years of taking a space at FESPA global events, FESPA 2022 bucked the trend for Innova Art. Instead of building a branded space, a few members of the Innova team visited to take a look around the halls. Not only did they get to see how Innova products were displayed on partner stands, they also took some inspiration from the wider industry. One of the big benefits was being able to network with a wider variety of visitors and exhibitors, rather than feeling restricted to people venturing into a branded booth space. “It was a novelty for us to be able to fully experience the visitor perspective of FESPA” says Wayne Connelly, Owner of Innova Art. “We were able to make time with our key customers to really connect as well as take advantage of serendipitous connections with other visitors whilst walking the halls.” There were a few key customers that the Innova team were keen to connect with at FESPA 2022. Each showing aspects of the Innova product range. Canon had a full display of the two fine art swatch books recently completed in partnership to celebrate their imageROGRAPF Pro 2100, 4100 and 6100 and imagePROGRAF GP 200, 300, 2000 and 4000 fluorescent printers. Whilst Epson were showcasing the Innova Supernova Sublimation range as well as showing how Innova Eco-Solvent, Latex and UV compatible fine art medias perform on their new SureColor SC-R5000 resin based printer. Monti Antonio showed the versatility of the Innova Supernova range by sublimating onto Innova Supernova Chrome live on their stand. The team explored all areas of the [...]

Announcing Innova Supernova Sublimation

…Out of this World Colour Quality Born out of an electrifying moment between our product development team, the Innova Supernova Sublimation range was sparked by a simple question. Why are there no dye-sublimation surfaces specifically for fine art and photographic prints? Taking all their years experience in creating inkjet fine art print surfaces, our team set out to change this. The result was Innova Supernova Sublimation: three products specifically for dye-sublimation printmakers looking to create fine art and photographic prints. Inspired by the epic transformations which take place in deep space, Innova Supernova is as powerful and luminous as any stellar explosion.  Utilising Innova Supernova Transfer Paper you can create cibachrome style photographic sublimations onto Innova Supernova Chrome. Or focus on the darkroom feel with baryta style fine art prints sublimated onto Innova Supernova Baryta. Each sublimation receptive substrate encapsulates the pigments within the surface: creating prints capable of representing millions of colours at a precise point in time, much like images of supernovas in deep space.  Whichever Innova Supernova Sublimation surface you choose, your images will go out into the world with a bang. Finished displays will create a pull so strong that fans won’t want to leave your work on the gallery walls. And, fortunately for printmakers and art collectors everywhere, there is no evidence of Innova Supernova Sublimation products creating a black hole.  Innova Supernova Sublimation media will be shown for the first time on stand G60 in hall 1 at FESPA 2021 in Amsterdam. Products will be available to order in Q4 of 2021 and Q1 of 2022. Click here to register to attend FESPA 2021. Not visiting FESPA but still want to know more? Fill out the form below to request [...]

Innova Art is Coming of Age

While 2020 brought with it challenges and uncertainties never before experienced in our lifetimes, the management team at Innova Art Ltd, were determined not to allow the COViD pandemic to hold us back. So, once we took care of the related health & safety requirements, we committed ourselves to pushing forward to realise our intended vision.  “We used the slower moments of the pandemic to take a long and hard look at our own organisation and visualise the business we really want to be, thereafter we fully initiated the steps required to move us towards the vision we created.”  Comments Nevelle Bower, Innova Art Ltd CEO. The first step in this direction was to notice that, as we enter our 19th year in business, we have become, an industry leading manufacture of digital fine-art and photographic media with a high-quality sheet and roll converting facility. We recognised that our skills and capabilities could be offered across a much broader digital and imaging media range. Therefore we took the initiative to expand and increase our capabilities in order to offer our experience and services to others just as markets turned their attention to more regional solutions. We added four batch-slitters, a reel-to-reel master roll slitter and a state-of-the-art (semi-automatic) sheeting line with packing processes to our already very capable facility.  Adding these 6 new machines have increased the production capabilities from 2000 finished rolls per month to 12000, with sheeting and packing potentials up more than 100%. All of this we  achieved while maintaining a strict COViD safety policy with socially-distanced workstations spaced much further apart than the governments required 2m divisions. We are growing responsibly The resulting growth in the last quarter of 2020, even [...]
