After almost 18 months without meeting their customers in-person, the Innova Art team has had an exciting time with two events in a five week period.
The Photography Show (18-21 September, 2021), NEC, UK
The journey back to in-person events for Innova Art began at The Photography Show 2021. Heading back to the NEC for the first event in a year and a half, the team set up the stand and awaited visitors looking for inkjet media. The Photography Show did not disappoint, with many visitors attending the event expressing how much it had been missed in 2020.
Special deals on the full Innova Art product line were available courtesy of Fine Art Foto, an online retailer of inkjet printing products. Many visitors took advantage of the opportunity to stock up on supplies of media for the coming year. The popularity of traditional photo surfaces such as Olmec™ Photo Gloss Heavyweight 260gsm has not wained, although fine art surfaces such as Innova Soft White Cotton 280gsm also proved popular at The Photography Show 2021.
Meeting photographers face to face after such a long time was a great experience for the Innova Art team. Nevelle Bower, CEO of Innova Art, summed up the event “It was fantastic to be back at the NEC. The team at Future did a great job with creating the show amidst all the ongoing challenges of last year. For me the best thing was seeing the joy photographers experienced by touching and feeling all the different papers available. Just one of the simple pleasures that we have all missed.”
FESPA Global Print Expo (12-15 October, 2021), Amsterdam RAI, The Netherlands
Hot off the heels of the first UK event, Innova Art returned to Europe for the first FESPA Global Print Expo in over a year.
Celebrating the launch of new product lines as well as the chance to meet European customers face to face, FESPA 2021 had a special atmosphere for Innova Art. There was much excitement about Innova Supernova Sublimation, their new range of flexible dye sublimation receptive media. Visitors to the stand expressed excitement about the ability to create high quality fine art photographic displays at much larger sizes than previously possible.
“Being back in Europe and talking to people face to face was great. We had a fantastic reception to the Innova Supernova range, not only from the customers we thought would be interested. But also from many new faces who had application ideas completely beyond what we thought of during the development process.” Says Mike Ramos-Gonzalez, Owner of Innova Art. “The ability to spontaneously connect and spark these chain reactions of creative ideas is a gap that in-person events will always fill. I can’t wait to see what everyone produces once they are back in the office!”
Dye-Sublimation for fine art was not the only hot topic on the Innova Art stand. Starlite Sublimation, a new range of textile papers launched in February 2021, also made a debut at the event. Not to mention the popularity of the core range of Innova products: archival inkjet media for aqueous, eco-solvent, latex and UV printing.
