Golf and Art enthusiasts can now buy a small piece of Golfing history, reproduced on Innova’s Book Art papers. Signature Golf Art have produced a collection of images charting golf legend Gary Players’s career, bound in a leather book each signed with a hand written message by Gary himself. Gary Player is winner of 9 Majors (including 3 Masters Tournaments) and played in his 50th Masters in April 2007, a rare streak in the history of one of golf’s treasured Major Championships. In order to celebrate this momentous occasion, the production of a commemorative book has been completed, “Gary Player – 50 Years at the Masters”. In Gary Player’s own words, the artifact records his thoughts, recollections and emotions about each of the years he played in the Masters, including details of his three Masters victories and a selection of photographs of the Masters over the past five decades. The books include 116 pages in a buffalo leather cover including a title foil with the selected year embossed. It is giclee printed with pigment inks with the text on smooth Cotton High White 225gsm and the spread pages on Soft Textured Natural White 315gsm. The limited edition size of 50, is to reflect and represent one book for each of his 50 years playing at the Masters. Many of you may now be using or have access to the new Z series printers from Hewlett Packard. Whilst these new printers give you the ability to create your own profiles, you will probably need some extra info on recommended settings to get the best print results. This is why HP have published a technical newsletter for working with Non-HP papers. It has recommendations for working with Innova papers and how to use a generic profile already created. Innova Art, transformed an exhibition wall with the stunning prints of David Osborn, British landscape photographer, at the recent Focus On Imaging show at the NEC in Birmingham. To support our resellers who were exhibiting, we supported them with a 18m wall of prints all printed on the Innova FibaPrint range. Particuarly featured by David, who prints all his own work with custom profiles on an Epson Pro 9800, was the new FibaPrint Ultra Smooth Gloss 285gsm from Innova. He has told us that with this new product which is smoother, glossier and slightly whiter than the original White Gloss 300gsm, that this is the closest digital paper he has seen to a traditional fibre based baryta darkroom paper.

Innova Art scoop 4 DIMA Awards to add to the TIPA Award gained in 2006 for ‘Best Independent Inkjet Paper’. Like TIPA, the DIMA Awards are selected from a panel of digital Imaging editors from hundreds of products offered from innovative companies at the PMA trade show from the Photographic industry where the awards were announced and the results on display. Color patches are used in the testing on criteria such as neutral gray balance reproduction, saturation, shadow detail and quality, overall tonality and highlights. Innova Art have recently completed a run of extremely successful and high profile exhibitions to further endorse the Innova name, branding and introduce new products to the market. The Paperworld annual show in Frankfurt, Germany saw the new FibaPrint Ultra Smooth Gloss 285gsm, and showcased the whole FibaPrint range. Also introduced was the elegant new labelling for all Innova box and roll packaging, which gives the range a much cleaner, sophisticated look. The papers have been split into 4 colour coded catagories to make selction easier; FibaPrint, Fine Art, Photo and Canvas Ranges.
