Make more, sell more and profit more at Sign and Digital UK 2016

Visit Innova Art, Stand H60, Sign & Digital UK 2016, NEC, Birmingham, 19-21 April Every trade fair has to help the hard-pressed visitor make a decent return on the investment of a visit and Sign and Digital UK is no different. Which is why everyone on the Innova Art stand H60 at this year’s Sign & Digital UK 2016 (NEC, Birmingham, 19-21 April) will be focusing on ways to help printers earn more from every aspect of their business. Our ingenious, customer-led innovations won’t break the bank; they will help you make more, sell more and profit more. Do you print and sell 3D canvas art? It remains one of the décor market’s biggest hits of recent years. And if you could squeeze a little more margin from 3D art products, would that be an added bonus? That’s what Innova Art has focused on with the latest developments to its award-winning JetMaster Image Display Systems. The new Direct Print board, Direct Print Photo Wrap and Direct Print Photo Panel mean you can offer exciting 3D alternatives to canvas that look as good on the wall – and, as importantly, can be up there just a few minutes after you’ve pressed ‘Print’. A great product in barely any time at all means a happy customer – and at a production cost that will really bring a smile to your face, too. Don’t take our word for it: come and see how Sign-Tronic, a customer of ours who has travelled all the way from South Africa to demonstrate the speed at which the Oce Arizona 318GL printer can turn out 3D art using JetMaster media, is maximising sales. See how the amazing YouTac® Textile guarantees great display [...]

Digital Fine Art Products: Interview with Natascha Van Niekerk

Digital fine art encompasses so much more than ink on paper; we spoke to Natascha Van Niekerk to find out what approach she has for alternative product formats. Natascha Van Niekerk is a fine art photographer based in South Africa, dedicated to capturing the essence of the beauty in her home land. She currently sells her work as a range of products including jewellery and soft furnishings as well as digital fine art prints on paper. The inspiration For Natascha it was a natural progression to start selling her photography work in alternative formats; “with digital printing these days the options are quite limitless and I feel the photographic medium lends itself to such a wide range of applications.” A passion for photography and an interest in décor combined to result in the launch of her own range of wallpapers, large format prints and cushions. Alongside this she launched her ‘forest in my heart’ range of nickel free silver jewellery – her contribution to the world of wearable art. To do this Natascha had to learn a whole new set of skills. Each application required research and experimentation to learn the best production methods. She persevered through failed experiments and spent many hours working to turn each desired application into a professional product. As a result of this Natascha now creates her products through a combination of her own resources and carefully selected external partners. Finding the perfect team For her jewellery range, Natascha prints digital fine art images on her own wide format printer and makes each individual piece of jewellery, including pendants, earrings and rings, by hand. She also uses her wide format printer to produce her larger digital fine art prints. Currently [...]

Russian photographer Sergey Maltsev launched new show on Innova Art paper

Recently a new exhibition by Russian photographer Sergey Maltsev was on show in The Central House of Artists, Moscow Russia. The exhibition called Images Of India closed on January 10th 2016 featured more than 40 works, all printed by Melange-S on Innova Art paper. India evokes all kinds of images which are embodied in art by each artist. Sergey Maltsev uses a unique theme: architecture of India, both traditional and colonial. The architecture of the area emphasizes the mixing of cultures and times. Sometimes it seems that the photograph has been taken many years ago… at others it seems like it could have been just yesterday. Through this series of photographs, Sergey Maltsev has captured a snap shot of time. The combinations of textures in India are stunningly highlighted in various parts of the country, from the Observatory in Jaipur to the streets of Mumbai. People on the streets are natural and seem snatched from their daily activities completely at random. None of the images in the exhibition were staged. The photographer simply took long walks through the streets of towns and captured the moments of ordinary life. Melange-S, the Innova print center in Russia, produced the prints for the exhibition; watch the video below for a quick tour of the show. “India is able to surprise anyone with its bright colors, even the most discerning traveler, no country has caused in consequence I have so many antithetical feelings and emotions! For my new exhibition, I needed to pick up the print media that best transmits local coloring of India. About 2 years ago I became acquainted with the materials for printing Innova Art. And since then, regularly use Fine Art paper by Innova for printing my [...]
