Last week, James Cannone, our sales manager for Africa and the Middle East, attended SGI Dubai 2016 with the team from Canon Middle East.
Taking a place on the Canon stand to assist in the demonstrations of display products at SGI Dubai 2016, in support of the printer demonstrations taking place. James showed just what can be achieved with the winning combination of high quality print equipment and superior display and print media products. Interest in applications for digital print was high, with many visitors keen to explore the options for themselves, Canon sold a number of Océ Arizona printers throughout the course of the three-day show.
Visitors to SGI Dubai 2016 reflected many areas of the print industry and came from all over the Middle East including Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey. Members of the retail print and display sector found the Innova range of image display products particularly interesting. The Innova display range includes GOframe, PinchBook™ and JetMaster Image Display Systems. With regular demonstrations taking place visitors to the show were able to hands on with the products and see just how simple it is to create eye catching image displays without having to learn specialist skills. PinchBook™ Photo Books are an easy solution to the binding conundrum. If you are tired of messing around with hot glue and clamps to create your photo books, this product could change your binding process entirely. All you need to do is pull back the covers and insert your printed pages. GOframe and JetMaster Image Display Systems on the Canon ME stand at SGI Dubai 2016
The JetMaster Image Display Systems range by Innova includes some simple options for displaying photography, fine art and temporary signage. JetMaster Photo Panels bring an extra dimension to resin coated photographic prints. Simply affix your print to the face of the panel and trim off the excess media for a professional looking, eye catching display. Lightweight and effective the range has recently expanded to include additional sizes. A direct Print varient is also available. Direct Print Photo Wraps are ideal for use with flatbed printers, anyone looking for temporary signage displays or a high-end artwork display option need look no further. Packaged flat in boxes of ten, Direct Print Photo Wraps are pre cut and scored so making them couldn’t be easier. Print the image direct to the substrate and place back in the box for shipping and construction at the destination, or, print direct to substrate and fold up along the pre scored lines, using the pre applied adhesive to hold the edges in place – a canvas effect image display, straight from the printer.
The newest addition to the Innova range is GOframe, the easy to use canvas stretching system making the use of canvas pliers and staple guns obsolete. Just remove the liner from the adhesive on the bars and place them into patented GOframe corner pieces, align with the back of your print, trim off excess media and secure the corners with u-shaped pins. Finishing with corner tabs ensures drum-tight tension in the face of your frame and all you need is a trimming tool or knife!
