In one of Innova Art’s most ambitious enterprises yet, all of us – the faces of people from Africa, Asia, the Americas and Europe – will feature on the company’s stand at Photokina 2018, Koelnmesse, Cologne, Germany, 26-29 September 2018. And we – you, me and everybody – will also be on show in a special exhibition for the duration of the fair.

This year, in partnership with curator Martin Vegas and his Atlas of Humanity project, Innova Art will present two stunning exhibitions of international portraiture, printed with flawless image quality and detail on Innova Art digital media. More than 130 images by 52 photographers from around the world, both professional and amateur, span the globe, from Armenia to Vietnam and Australia to Sierra Leone.

Photokina 2018 visitors can see the images both on the Innova Art stand (A006, Hall 3.1), and also in a dedicated exhibition space on stand A002 as they move between Halls 4 and 5. The Photokina exhibitions are the first time that any part of the Atlas of Humanity collection has been seen in print; it was previously only available to view online.

Martin Vegas, founder and curator of Atlas of Humanity, said:

“We are proud to announce the first exhibition of Atlas of Humanity, a project without limits or boundaries. As a showcase of the richness and diversity of the great mosaic of humanity, it offers a glimpse into the vanishing cultures of people who are striving to hold onto their heritage in a rapidly changing world.”

Mike Gonzalez, Innova Art MD, said:

“We’re delighted to be supporting the Atlas of Humanity, celebrating diversity and the remarkable work of photographers and reporters from around the world as a record of global culture for future generations. It seems especially fitting to have helped create these exhibitions at as international a fair as Photokina, which draws visitors from every corner of the globe.”

To view the images, visit the Innova Art stand A006, Hall 3.1, and the exhibition on Stand A002, between Halls 4 and 5. Both Martin Vegas and the Innova Art team will be on hand to offer insights into the making of the exhibition; Martin welcomes approaches from photographers who are interested in having their work included in the Atlas of Humanity collection.
