On May 23-25, Visitors To The Amar Gallery On Whitfield Street Will Be Able To Explore Global Culture
Curated by Martin Vegas, the exhibition explores themes of identity, perception and transformation. Inviting viewers to experience photography as a powerful tool for storytelling and dialogue.
Atlas of Humanity is an international project based on the UNESCO Declaration on Cultural Diversity. Since its inception in 2015, Atlas of Humanity has documented more than 1000 different ethnic groups all over the planet, through the work of more than 400 photographers. The exhibition in London this May represents the 12th edition of the project and will show the work of 50 international photographers. Through portraits and documentation of daily moments they capture the richness and diversity of the world’s ethnic cultures. Providing a glimpse into the vanishing cultures of people who are striving to hold onto their heritage in a rapidly changing world.
“We have worked with Martin for many years and are always excited by the images he shows,” says Mike Ramos-Gonzalez, Owner of Innova Art. “We have long held an interest in the message behind Atlas of Humanity and being able to support the show in London, bringing that story to our home audience, was too good an opportunity to miss.”
